Founded as Keene Industrial Academy in 1893 and an affiliation of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Southwestern Adventist University is accredited by: Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, General Conference Accrediting Association of SDA Schools, Colleges, and Universities, International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education, Texas Education Agency, Texas Board of Nurse Examiners and the National League for Nursing.
