4. What is unique about SWAU's Biology program?

 

Field school projects:  Hawaii, Costa Rica, Honduras, Gulf Coast of Texas, Dinosaur Bones Excavation in Wyoming, Mexico Mission trips

 

Research: One SWAU student, Nicolas Ortiz, a junior Biology major from Columbia, South America, was selected to participate in a research fellowship at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. His 10-week research fellowship focused on neuro-science, and specifically on how the brain and nervous system work together at a cellular and genetic level.  Ortiz earned three hours of college credit during three weeks of courses and seven weeks of research.
