The award is given to an individual who brings honor to Southwestern Adventist University by way of personal or professional accomplishments. The candidate has completed a lifetime or many years of service for either church, community, civic or social organizations. He or she is a role model for young people and a supporter of the university. The honor is given for a lifetime of service, as opposed to any special accomplishment within the last 12-month period. This award may be bestowed posthumously.
