Physical Education

Recreational activities are an integral part of campus life at Southwestern Adventist University.  The intramural and athletic programs are designed to provide opportunities for students and student-athletes to participate and excel in on-campus intramural activities and/or in higher level interscholastic athletic competition.  Please refer to the Student Handbook for eligibility and participation guidelines and regulations.  Sports offered include:

The Leiske-Pultar Gymnasium offers students the opportunity to exercise and work out with equipment in dedicated weight and aerobic rooms along with courts for racquetball, basketball and volleyball.   Other on-campus facilities include two sets of tennis courts, a swimming pool, soccer, softball and flagball fields.  Southwestern also offers a gymnastics program – SWAT – Southwestern Acrobatic Team – as another outlet for exercise and physical activity.
