SWAU Offers New Course

Southwestern Adventist University now offers a new elective class , CJLE 385 Studies in Criminal Justice: WORLD TERRORISM.  This 3 credit course is offered on Tuesday, Thursday at 10:30 a.m.  Issues discussed in the class include: why America and the West are hated, the historical roots of terrorism, the Christian’s response to terrorism, the goals of terrorism, the role of terrorism in the 21st Century, and the threat of terrorism to a democratic society and way of life.  The course instructor is Dr. Randy Butler, professor of history and criminal justice.  Class format includes reading and discussion.
