Working together, we can make your education happen.

A Land of Surprises

Those who have never lived in Texas may be in for a few surprises their first year on campus.

We're Here to Help

Staff and faculty work daily with students to make sure their stay at Southwestern is one of the high points of their life.

Residence Hall Phones

Residence Hall students are assigned an extension that they keep for the duration of their stay in a residence hall, even if they move to a different room or residence hall. Phone calls can be made on mic enabled computers via SIP phone software like Zoiper Classic. Zoiper has clients for PC, Mac (both OS X and iOS) and Linux. Once a student's registration has been completed an email will be sent with the extension and password/secret which can be used to register the SIP phone software (see below).

These extensions also come with voicemail which is sent as a sound file attachment to the student's Southwestern email account for easy listening.

Residence Hall students who do not have a mic enabled computer can come to the ITS Helpdesk in the Findley Administration Building to check out a physical phone.

Please contact the Helpdesk in the Findley Administration Building at 817-202-6411 or help(at)swau.edu if you have any questions.
