Southwestern Adventist University Welcomes International Students

The International Student Office is here to assist international students in achieving their educational goals and to provide opportunities for growth through cross-cultural interaction. The office provides orientation, adjustment services, F-1 student advising, cultural programming activities, and serves as an advocate for international students.

Getting Started

Here are the things you need to do to enroll in our Undergraduate program:
 
Step 1:  Send us the following:
Personal Data Form
Official Original Transcripts (from any college or university that you might have attended)
Declaration of Finance form and official financial documentation (bank statements)
Copy of Current Passport
Documentation of English Proficiency (ACT, SAT, TOEFL)

Step 2:  When your file is complete, it will be reviewed and hopefully you will be accepted. When you are accepted, you will be able to make your $1000 International Student Deposit and $6500 Pre-payment. When that payment is made in full, we will be able to issue you your I-20.
 
Step 3: The state of Texas requires all students to get the TB (tuberculosis) test, and the meningitis vaccination.  These two vaccinations are required to from all students.
 
Step 4:  Buy a plane ticket for the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.  Give us your flight information and we will pick you up. Or if you are close by you may drive.
 
Step 5:  Check-in.  Bring your documents (passport, I-20, and I-94, immunization proof) to the international student office.
 
Step 6:  Register for classes.
 
Step 7:
  Come to the international student orientation meeting.
