Each week the Sabbath will be marked in a special way by the ringing of a bell that will be heard throughout our campus and community at sundown on Friday and Saturday evenings. This allows us to welcome the Sabbath and the end of a hectic week at our Friday Night Worship, a vespers service held weekly at 8 P.M. in the Keene SDA Church sanctuary. Students will join in worship through prayer, music, skits, special features, and various speakers from around the nation.
A casual and relaxed time of worship through testimony and music held at Evans Hall auditorium immediately following FNW where students can bask in the afterglow of the evening’s service.
The student-led Sabbath School teams up with faculty and staff each Sabbath afternoon at 2 P.M. to walk through the Word of God.
End the Sabbath in a spirit of worship at the sundown AY service held in the Mabee Center.
A dynamic student-led church service where the student body comes together as one to join in worship. Check the calendar; you won’t want to miss this!
Located in Evans Hall room 11 and open daily from 6 A.M. to 12 A.M., the Prayer Room is open for anyone to use for personal prayer, devotional time, private Bible studies, and open for small groups.
Amplify: In addition to the above services, a variety of small groups meet throughout the week at various times and places, making it easy for those with even the busiest of schedules to find a time the fellowship and study The Word with others. Please see the calendar for a current schedule.
Bible Studies: There are also many Bible study groups that meet on a regular basis. If you are interested in general Bible study or in Baptismal preparation, please contact the chaplain to be teamed up a leader.
Help out at a food bank benefitting SWAU village students in need. Loaves and Fishes is located at Evans Hall Room 4. Check the office for Spiritual Development for food bank hours. Donations can be dropped off at the Office for ….. ??
Each semester, one week is dedicated as a Week of Prayer. During the Fall semester, a special guest speaker presents daily morning devotional messages to the entire campus body. Then, during second semester, a student-led Week of Prayer features student speakers the messages. Musical talent, and drama are also part of this special spiritual emphasis week.
The dorm visitation teams visit the men and women’s dorms several times a year. If you would like special visitation at other times, please contact the office for Spiritual Development.
Transportation will be provided once or twice a month to visit different area churches for the privilege of worshipping with our larger Adventist community.
Lifting All Voices (LAV) is a social-justice themed organization on campus that will focus on addressing topical issues, community service, and aiding in defining an educated opinion regarding the world around us as Christian college students. Will feature guest speakers from area churches for Inter-faith Dialogue programs once a month.
Take God’s love to the streets of Dallas/Fort Worth Intersection. This group takes part in various street ministries in and around the metroplex.
Spend an afternoon sharing the love of the Great Physician with those in need of physical healing at Huguley Memorial Medical Center with our hospital ministry team.
Take the time to brighten the day of the residents at Town Hall Estates with our nursing home visitation team.
Take to our local streets with door to door ministries and spread the love of God to those in our own community.
Pick up a hammer and join our volunteers at the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity located in Cleburne. And donate an hour or two of your week to reading, tutoring, or teaching a craft to the children of Cleburne who are in need of mentors.
