Hey guys,

I’ve made it over to Kwaj today and am doing some laundry at my roommates’ sponsors’ house. God has been making me reevaluate my priorities and the way I look at things.  We’ve been out of power on Ebeye for three weeks now. I love “camping” but once in awhile it’s nice to feel clean. We found maggots in our water catchment and also a dead cockroach. I wasn’t feeling very clean.

We have really had no rain this week so everybody has been out of water. They have been lining up with masses and masses of buckets at the water station. Fortunately our catchment still has a little water in it.

Today we have a big storm over our heads so the rain is coming down in bucket-fulls. God always provides—you just have to be patient. Living by candlelight is not bad—the only thing that scares me is stepping on a cockroach when I can’t see. With no power I have really had to look for the blessings that God is putting in front of me in order for me to be positive.

My roommate may be leaving do to the differences she is having with administration. She has to decide by tomorrow if she is staying here in Ebeye or taking another position in Palau. It will be hard if she leaves because we have grown quite close.  God knows what’s best.

I’ve been talking with her and telling her that God puts challenges in front of us so that we grow, but she was also reminded by Pastor Willy--president of the Guam Micronesia Mission who is here this week, that Paul and Silas even had to split company because of disagreements. It’s true that people can be in the same work and just not get along. I’ve been keeping her in my prayers.

Our youth campout last weekend went well. Had a lot fun! Went snorkeling on Sunday when our ride was 2 hours late to pick us up. We’ve been trying to talk with the kids about how God communicates with us. Were trying to get them to see what God puts in front of them such as the little things like wind to cool you off, rainbows, and rain... Several non-Adventists attended. One expressed interest in baptism—Jonny (sophomore this year).

Please continue to pray that God will stretch and grow me while I'm here. I need your continued prayers.

Love you all,

Camille Trubey
