The Year of Scholarships

We launched our Spring Campaign on March 2020, and we have received many generous and selfless donations. Thank you for being part of Southwestern's family. As we are now preparing to start our Fall semester, when many faced financial struggles and some have closed their doors, here at Southwestern Adventist University, there is much evidence of the Lord's continued blessings .

Our continued focus is upon this new endeavor, “The Year of Scholarships.” Currently, 84% of our students receive some sort of financial assistance. With limited resources in supporting all of those who desire Christian Education, the goal is to grow our endowments and scholarships so much that we can compete with state colleges.

Maria Zazueta has a story to tell of how God led her and her husband to Southwestern Adventist University. This was done through His guidance and the generosity of caring individuals, like you, who have a passion for Christian Education. With your help, you can join us in ensuring that there are countless other stories just like hers.

We cannot thank you enough for all of your support, prayers, and financial donations. If you are feeling called to support this new campaign, please reach out to our Advancement Department, or give below. May God continue to bless you and your families, as He will continue to bless us and the next generation of Knights.

Give, philanthropy, new building, give back, Christian education

“We realized that SWAU was also in Texas and thought, “Wow, what a coincidence.” But of course, it was no coincidence, it was His sign.”

-Maria Ocano Zazueta

Named Endowment Scholarships and Scholarship Awards

To give formal and public recognition for outstanding scholastic achievement, loyalty to university standards, and exemplary citizenship, the University awards named scholarships each year. Recipients are selected based on criteria established by the scholarship donors.

The University is grateful to the donors who support Southwestern students by establishing the 127 Named Endowment Scholarships. Those interested in creating a Named Endowment Sholarship may contact the Office of University Advancement.
