What is Lifestyle medicine (LM)?
LM incorporates six areas: physical activity, nutrition, sleep, interpersonal relationships, stress management, and tobacco cessation/substance abuse. Utilizing LM empowers you to be a participant in your care. More than 80% of chronic conditions could be avoided by adopting health lifestyle behaviors (Bodai et al., 2018). These conditions include cardiovascular disease, Type II diabetes, obesity, and many cancers.
