Museum Classes

While visiting us, your group can dive deeper into dinosaurs through our free classes!

Dinosaur Class:
Students learn all about the history and classification of dinosaurs as they take part in a class catered toward the group's age/experience! Generally led by our Chief Preparator David Stair, this class takes students through the history and classification of dinosaurs, as well as creating and identifying your own fossil collection.

Fossil Class:
Are you interested in fossils? Your group can learn how to hunt, collect, prepare, and identify fossils through a hands-on class, giving each student a day as a Paleontologist! Depending on the group's size and age/experience, we may even be able to give students the chance to help clean their own fossil in our Preparatory Laboratory and catalog it in our world-class database.

Astronomy Class:
More info about our Astronomy Class and Observatory is available at swau.edu/observatory.

Each class accomodates 12-30 people and may be earned as a Pathfinder Honor. If seeking to earn the honor, plan two or more hours per class. If seeking to simply learn about the topic, plan one hour per class.
