A graduate degree in law can be built on any four-year degree at Southwestern – there are no specific prerequisite courses.  However, a degree in the social sciences (such History or English) can be a particularly useful background for law school.  Accordingly, the pre-law advisor is a member of the History/Social Science department.  Students apply for law school after completing a baccalaureate degree and taking the LSAT (Law School Aptitude Test).
