Projects executed as Faculty Advisor include:
Business in a Box: after school program for 6th-8th graders focusing on the fundamentals of business and entrepreneurship.
Spoons for Change: women’s empowerment workshop series emphasizing job and life skills.
Thrive: small business plan competition and workshop series providing resources for business owners and increased financial literacy and borrower education.
REZ REFUGE: solar passive greenhouse designed and built to serve as a springboard for a gardening program at a Navajo youth center.
BeeYond Design: one on one mentoring and consulting in the areas of production and marketing for an industry for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
Ana Patterson is a native of New York City who arrived in Texas to attend Southwestern Adventist University in 1995. Ana is passionate about teaching and values the opportunity to mentor students. She has served on several community boards including the Johnson County Children’s Advocacy Center, Keene Adventist Elementary School Board and the Johnson County Hunger Coalition. Ana has been married to her high school sweetheart for over 20 years and they have three children. She enjoys traveling with her family and learning about cultures and customs. Ana loves camping, hiking, kayaking and anything that takes her outdoors. At home, you will find her in the kitchen cooking for her family and friends.
