Southwestern Adventist University was blessed to be part of the Oklahoma Camp Meeting at beautiful Wewoka Woods this past weekend!
Pastor Rufo and his team led Sabbath School with heartfelt praise and worship. Two of our theology students, Marsha Miller and Enrique Perez, shared testimonies and spoke about how their experience participating in The Field School for Evangelism has helped them grow both spiritually and, in their calling, as future pastors. Elder Stephen Brooks, Executive Secretary for the Southwestern Union spoke about the importance of evangelism and his experience facilitating the program that was held in Oklahoma.
President Ana Patterson shared exciting updates from the University, including the 50th anniversary of our Nursing Program, the launch of a Master of Science in Nursing in Fall 2025, the impact of student service through Service Day and our growing mission opportunities, both locally and globally. She also highlighted hands-on learning through research, the Honors Program, and the scholarship support available for students pursuing careers in Adventist education and ministry.
As part of a beloved tradition, SWAU hosted the Watermelon Feed, bringing together alumni, friends, and families for a joyful time of connection and fellowship.
Thank you to the leadership team at the Oklahoma Conference and everyone who made this weekend special. It’s always a joy to reconnect with our extended SWAU family!
