A Simple Guide to Getting Started
Applying to Southwestern Adventist University is a straightforward process designed to help you take the next step with confidence. Whether you are a first-year student or transferring from another school, we are here to guide you every step of the way.
Step 1: Start Your Online Application
Begin your application by creating an account through our online application portal. Be sure to select the correct term and application type (First-Year or Transfer).
Step 2: Submit Required Documents
Depending on your status, submit the following:
- First-Year Applicants
- Official high school transcript with graduation date
- ACT or SAT scores (optional, but recommended for scholarship consideration and placement)
- Transfer Applicants
- Official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended
- If fewer than 24 college credits, also submit high school transcript and optional test scores
Step 3: Apply for Financial Aid
Complete your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at studentaid.gov, and use SWAU’s school code: 003646. This can unlock access to federal, state, and institutional aid.
Step 4: Check Your Email
After applying, you will receive an email with login details for your student portal, where you can track your admission status and submit additional items if needed.
