Dr Roberts is a widely experienced nurse with 49 years of professional nursing practice.  Her experiences include clinical nursing, nurse education, nursing administration and policy-making in the Office of the Surgeon General of the United States Air Force. An experienced educator, she has over 20 years of nursing and military education development, university professor, as well as medical and nurse staff development experience. Her experience as nurse executive includes chief nurse officer of multiple hospitals and deputy executive officer.  She retired as a colonel from the United States Air Force, Nurse Corps after 28 years of service.
